In praise of amateurs and silence

Being an amateur in photography is freedom.
The most freedom comes when nobody pays attention, except some close friends, family, people that you really care about.
Not winning, not being featured. Just a silent work.
Not the "public". Who's your public?
In a world of tweets and instagram posts (is Fakebook still online?) nobody is paying attention.

What you want to do with all this #freedom?

Chances are that you'll create work that will get more powerful every day of silence. Nobody has something really important to say each day.

Be free.
